It was an uncrafty weekend

Other than working on a Project Which Shall Not Be Named (it's a suprise) I did very little crafting. So I had to make up for it tonight and made these changepurses/wallets. They fit debit cards and a small amount of receipts/change/bills. I use one for my wallet 'cause I tend to lose things which are not attached to me or in my pocket.

Today's Projects

Ds had a nice 2 hour nap so I made a Thomas bag (also for the Craftster swap) and some beanbags for a game my mom is doing.

Here's a bag in progress. I am thinking a white lining and lime green accents. The outside looks like it also needs something and I am not sure what... It looks nicer in person, there is blue on blue embroidery on the fabric and sequins in embroidered flowers.

Cute palm

This palm tree turned out better than I expected! May need to make one for Cooper or Brodie since this one is a present. Mel

I can't believe I did it again

A while back I made Ev some pajama pants and the diggers came out upside down. So today I made a new pair.

Yeah, um. Anyone know why on my pattern the BOTTOM of it says "waistline"?

Geez. Third time's a charm. This pajama set is for a Craftster swap.

Needlebook and Custom Order

A little needlebook:

And a custom-order bag:

Hot pink in the inside pocket and there is a wristlet with clip as well.

Tomorrow's project: pajama pants with the diggers right-side up.

One HOT t-shirt

I finished of this volcano shirt this morning for Brodie. One of these days I will revisit the kimonos :) m

Wow I did it

Talked about it for three years and..

Now it looks almost lonely in here! When Ev is bigger I will get him his own craft desk but for now I just left him some dollhouse furniture.

Here is all the stuff to give away/sell- everything except the brown bookcase.

One for Me, One for Sale (SOLD)- More bags!

My new bag! The outside is drapery fabric and the inside white fabric is leftover from our living room drapes.

A zipped pocket and a little pocket for my cell phone. I did some special stitching along the top of the cell phone pocket.

A wrist pouch that can be clipped to the inside of the bag.

The wrist pouch is made to fit on your wrist so you can remove it from the bag but not have to carry it. I'm going to put my wallet, keys, etc in there so when we are at the playground I don't have to haul around my diaper bag or worry stuff will get stolen.

This bag is for sale (SOLD, look for more bags soon!). It measures 13.5" x 10". The outside is linen decorated with stitches and sequins and it has a blue linen lining.

This bag features a magnetic snap closure, zippered pocket and matching wristlet which can be hooked into the inside of the bag.

The cost is 30$ plus shipping method of your choice.

Yarn flowers

These turned out pretty good, Brodie helped a lot! Onl problem was I didnt' want to spend money on fancy yarn and the wire I bought was the wrong gage. I need to get some really small stuff. Melissa

The Undiaper Bag Finale

Andrea is having her baby RIGHT NOW. Yay! Here is what went into the undiaper bag:

A matching pouch, a thrift store sundress with cute vintage-looking appliques, a cherry onesie I embroidered, thrift store yellow gingham bottoms, and a mei tai carrier that Nicole made.

Shout out for the mei tai. They are SO comfortable and you can carry your kids in them even when they are really big. If I can find a photo of Ev in ours I will post it.

Asian influence

Saw this phrase on the computer and thought it was just too cute. It says I love you on Coopers shirt. Melissa

Why I Need to Clean Out the Craft Room

This is just getting ridiculous. Can you say packrat? It's pronounced "ah-man-dah".

I'm sew not crafty

But I really do try....even if it takes me 100 failed kimono shorts I am going to make that pattern work for me!

Good thing Amanda introduced me to the wild and wonderful world of embroidery. I love it! Here are some of the latest creations.

Silly me forgot to flip the image before I printed it out so the traffic lights are backwards, since its permanent to iron on the pattern before embroidering I went with it anyway.

These two were presents for a little bo and girl whose birthday we went to, note to self : brown monkeys with black eyes just don't look good on navy shirts.

Cooperkins wearing his pirate flag shirt. I tihnk this one has been my favourite so far.

These 3 are presents, hope the babies like them!

And finally my nemesis, the kimono pattern. This one is too rough around the edges at the moment and just barely fits Cooper. Practice makes perfect though!

An Undiaper Bag

I made this undiaper bag for my friend Andrea, using fabric from a sling Melissa gave me 'cause she knows I am a scavenger.

It has a matching pouch inside and I am going to toss in a vintage baby girl dress I bought from a thrift store ($1.49, yeah!), a baby carrier Nicole sewed and some online friends pitched in to pay for and some embroidered onesies (will post pics of those later).

This was my second time doing an inner zipped pocket and it was tricky to figure out. Good thing I'm crafty. Get it? Crafty as in I make crafts and am tricky? Good one, huh?
