Sun Jars

These are so pretty! It would also be cool to use etching cream to make designs on the glass. These would be so nice for outside on a patio.

That was in the last issue of "Ready Made"! :D Took me a minute to place it. If you have not checked out Ready Made... do (!), it's quite hip. Actually, save yer change and for the price of a couple of the mags just buy the book, proportionately more patterns and ideas, no ads and more resilient so you can effectively use it as a hammer (mags don't hold up as well when you smash them onto nails). Meh, I'm probably rambling for no reason... You've probably already seem 'em.

Oh yeah, "miss_b" sent me the link to yer blog when I was boring her with a crafty tangent last week. You gals make up some nifty stuff.

Hi Stephanie! Welcome to the site. I've looked through the magazine before but don't read it regularly. It has some really cool projects. I looked for the book at our local library and it looks like they don't have it but they do carry the magazine at the downtown branch- good to know.

Becks- if I see any deals on solar lights I will let you know.

Ou, ou! They have sets of 4 solar lamps at Jysk for $14.99 right now... is that a good price? Wonder if they'd work ok?

Oh, and ReadyMade, the book, is available through EPL... You need to search as one word which is how it's supposed to be written as I often forget. :)

Stephanie- I think the Jysk ones sound pretty reasonable, the ones I saw at Rona last weekend were 20-30$. Looking at Not Martha's instructions not all kinds of lights will work, some have the parts glued in. There are some comments about different kinds of solar lights on the Instructables site.

Thanks for the book tip, I put a hold on it.
